I don't know about you, but I am always on the hunt for a versatile and seasonal shoe, and this has to be the epitome of a versatile and seasonal bootie! How amazing are these bad boys?!

I am so in love with shape of these booties! I love the open toe and the cut out right above the laces. I also love that you could legitimately wear these throughout the year. Pair it with a fun dress in the spring and summer, and when the leaves begin to change colors and fall, throw on some tights to wear them with dresses or jeans. The possibilities are endless!

Sofia Vergara is one of my favorite Hollywood starlets and I've never denied it's our Colombian connection! She was born and raised in Barranquilla, where my father is from!

Sofia looked beyond last night in a custom Vera Wang coral one-shouldered crepe gown with chiffon draping and tulle accents. How incredible is this color on her? She paired the dress with dramatic diamond earrings and matching coral lips.

Sofia Vergara was hands down my favorite look of the night! She looks so glamorous! How can you not love this woman!?

Victoria Beckham is undoubtedly one of my favorite fashionistas! Definitely in my top five. And the fact that motherhood has far from cramped her style makes me love her even more. She is style and glamour personified!

The woman the world knows as "Posh" was in New York City for fashion week and after presenting her collection, she did what any accomplished-feeling girl would do — shop! With baby Harper, of course! Here she is strutting out of Balenciaga in a piece from her spring 2012 collection. I absolutely love the pink and black combo, and especially love the scalloped edges.

She's also rocking her namesake "Victoria" bag in black, a structured leather tote from her collection which is available on Net-a-Porter for a measly $2,995, proving she really is her own best brand ambassador because I want this entire outfit! In my dreams...

Oh, and remember those booties!? Told you they were to die for! ;)

Fly Footwork: Barley2 by Topshop

Last year, I came across the most incredible pair of thigh-high leather platform boots by Topshop and was left heartbroken when I learned they were sold out in my size. I decided to call the Topshop in New York City to see if they had any and of course they had one size 6.5 left! Of course they would... I guess the gentleman over the phone heard the distress/excitement in my voice and told me he would hold them for me until I got to New York City for New Year's Eve, which at that point was nearly two weeks way and was for sure against store policy. My life was depending on these boots... They were exactly what I had spent months looking for to no avail! Tick... Tock...

Long story short, two weeks later I arrived in Topshop's shoe salon and see several of the boots my heart was feigning for lined against the wall underneath a half-off sign. This can't be real! Then appeared the sales associate who helped me over the phone — my knight in shining armor! I remember exactly what he said: "Honey, I can't tell you how many people wanted these boots! The last 6.5! I hurt a lot of people's feelings! And no other sales associate could find them because I hid them so well. Oh, and now they're 50% off! Here you go!" He giggled, winked and literally pranced away, and I absolutely loved it!

Let me tell you, my boots were brand spankin' new! Never been touched and still wrapped up in plastic. I seriously could have kissed him! See, even with shoes, it's truly meant to be! The things I do for shoes... I even bought my sister a pair!

That wasn't really long story short, but let me get to the point...

They're available again on Topshop! Well, not the pair I have, but the over-the-knee pair which is just as delicious as the pair I own! So many people ask me where I get my boots from whenever I wear them and I'm happy to announce that you can now have what I consider to be one of my favorite pairs of shoes, too!

Now don't say I never did nothing for 'ya! ;)

Today we experienced a rather big dip in temperature, but I'm not complaining because I've been excitedly waiting for cool temperature like a 5-year-old waits for Christmas morning. I've had my eye on this fur for a little while and first spotted it on Net-a-Porter a few weeks ago. Sadly, an extra-small is no longer available on Net-a-Porter's site, so I mined the web and of course found the fur on its home-brand site. What do I love about this coat? I love the fact that it's faux, and especially love the fact that it is so chic! It also has so much versatility: you could wear this with a dress, a skirt, or jeans and it will, without question, spice up your outfit! Knowing that this faux fur will undoubtedly keep me warm is a plus, too! Oh, and did I mention that it is leopard print? Divine.

And the fact that it's not really leather and is actually cotton makes this skirt so wearable and likely comfortable! But of course this baby belongs on my flylist (my version of a want list) because I could never afford to drop over $1,000 on a cotton skirt... But I wish I could!

You're So Bootieful!

Fall is quickly descending upon us and all we can think about is our wardrobe! Cool weather, too. In my eyes, fall season is the best season as far as style goes. Don't you agree? I have to admit, there are a lot of things on my fly list (want list), and most of them are booties. Booties can add the perfect touch to any outfit with their effortlessly chic vibe. Here's a rundown on some of my favorite styles. Some that I can afford and some that just make us drool!

Criblez, ALDO, $170.

For some strange reason these are giving me a Michael Jackson vibe. They're pretty Bad if you ask me! These ALDO booties would provide the perfect pop of color to a monochromatic black look and would look absolutely incredible with a color-block outfit, preferably with a deep shade of purple. Coming across a fly pair of red booties is rare in this world, and for just $170 I'm dying to snatch these babies up!

Rachel Zoe Ankle Platform Boot, Neiman Marcus, $425.

How do I say this...? Rachel Zoe is my hero! No, really, she is! When I first learned that she was launching her very own collection I had no idea it would include shoes! Girl, am I glad she did because these booties are ba-nan-as! I'm having a hard time choosing which color I love most, but since black is the popular color of choice for most people's wardrobe, I'm going to go with the camel shade. So major.

Like I said before, anything leopard = heaven in my world and these booties underscore that statement! How amazing are these? I especially love the spotty leopard look! The wardrobe possibilities are truly endless with these bad boys!

Sam Edelman Uma Bootie, Nordstrom, $249.95.

A really close friend first showed me these booties and I nearly fell out of my seat! Sometimes I think these booties are so hideous, but most of the time the word MAJOR comes into my mind. I can see it now: dark blue denim and a ruby red top... Fly!

Alexander McQueen Snake Biker Jacket Bootie, Neiman Marcus, $1,895.

Wow! The black and blue snakeskin is legitimately leaving me short of breath! So stunning! I knew the moment this style hit the runway a few years ago that it would become an instant classic! I like to think I know what I'm talking about... (: Several years later and I've seen several renditions of the Biker Jacket Bootie, but in my opinion, none as amazing as these! I would wear the mess out of these! Now if only I had nearly two grand to drop on these bad boys!

Now if there was one pair that I could pull off the screen and into my life, it would most definitely be this pair! And not because they're Christian Louboutin, but because this is the sickest platform bootie I have ever seen in my life! *Wipes forehead!* But seriously, how incredible are these?!? The price, not so much... I look forward to the day when I can bring home babies like this like it's nothing! One day...

When I first discovered that Steve Madden created its very own leopard platform styled after Atwood's Maniac, I couldn't help but feel a little lucky! Especially since I'd only have to shell out a fraction of the price for the nearly identical shoe. What do they say: fake it until you make it! (:

Zara Launches Online Shopping in the US

Your life just a got a little bit more fabulous! Well, your wardrobe did! Because Zara, one of the world's biggest retailers and also my favorite, finally launched its online store in the states just as the clock struck midnight! Trust me, I know, but we'll get to that later... (the "P.S." story is below)

Consumers can now shop the fast-fashion retailer's full line at Zara.com. Let me say that again, everything you can find in stores will now be available for purchase at Zara.com!!! Is my excitement oozing through the screen?? I hope so! Sometimes you can't even find everything in the stores! I'm telling you, my life is MADE! Not only that, to make up for the may-jor delay, Zara is offering their American shoppers free standard delivery in all 50 states, from Alaska to Florida! Even better, items can also be picked up in-store for free, or delivered in a 24 to 48-hour timeframe for just $9.95! Oh, and returns and exchanges can be made through Zara stores or FedEx within 30 days at no additional cost. Heaven! They're making this too easy...

To mark the launch of its e-commerce platform in the US, Zara has commissioned photographs of each of the nation's states. Daniel Shea, Noah Kalina, Peter Baker and Stephen Tamiesie are just some of the 24 photographers participating in the 'Dear America' campaign, comprising 50 photos which can be viewed on Zara's US site now. The US online platform is Zara's first outside Europe, where shoppers can already buy online after launching e-commerce in 16 European countries last year. However, H&M did make its first foray into e-commerce last Tuesday via Elle.com.

P.S. So get this: while I was in London, I went to Zara with one of my girls and fell in love with two ahhh-mazing bags. I had already done some serious damage and had to put them both down and walk far, far away... I regretted it the second we walked out of the store and that night called my hometown Zara to check if they had the bags in stock. Note: I become extremely obsessive when I really want something. So they only had one of the bags I wanted which I purchased as soon as I got home, but the second bag was going to haunt me for the rest of my life... It was the most incredible metallic blue tote. So simple, but so chic! I've truly ever seen anything like it before. Why didn't I just buy it? *sighs* I was then reminded that the online store was going to launch soon by the Zara employee over my transcontinental call. Duh! How could I forget?! So I stalked Zara's website for 2 weeks to stare at the bag that never was. It was just an image on the computer screen -- a reminder of what could have been, of what might be... Who knew if it was going to be available for purchase when Zara's online shopping went live. So as I'm laying in bed a little after midnight, I went to Zara.com while praying to the fashion gods hoping that the metallic blue tote I grew obsessed with would be available for purchase... Lo and behold, it was!!! A-men, hallelujah!!!!! Check out the bag I nearly died for below, and also the leather jacket I snagged:

A few days ago, Lady Gaga made her runway debut at Thierry Mugler's show in Paris. In case you forgot, Gaga's bff/stylist, Nicola Formichetti, was recently tapped as creative director for the iconic French house.

The incomparable duo sat down with CNN after to discuss the show. Here's what Gaga had to say about the show and Nicola:

"I don't want to take any credit for Nicola's work -- he's an amazing designer and an amazing creative…. Nicola and I see everything as really subjective, and really free, and really free-minded. So, today was great, because we just sort of said 'f*ck music, f*ck fashion. It's all about being free, and being proud to be a woman.'"

The show was stellar, to say the least. Gaga also debuted "Government Hooker," a previously unheard track from her upcoming album. Check out some footage below:

Dunst was photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot in a 16th century garden at Villa Balbianello, Lake Como just outside of Milan.

This is so random, but lions have always been my favorite animal; and, no, it's not because I am a Leo. My fascination with the king and queen of the jungle started in elementary school (long before I was even knowledgable of astrological signs) when Disney's The Lion King took over the world. That movie changed my life! LOL

Fly Look — Blake Lively in Chanel

We all know I love my girl, Blake Lively. Her style is something to drool over, and she rarely misses the mark. However, and I'm really bothered to say this, I was disappointed in her look for the Chanel dinner party held in her honor in Paris over the weekend.

This was the second dinner party Chanel held for their newest purse ambassador, and whilst the couture dress from the 2008 spring collection knocks the wind out of me, her Louboutin shoes just have me shaking my head. Why? As someone with a keen eye for detail, I get that she tried to find a shoe that matched the cream and gold embellishment on the dress, but no. Please, don't do that!

Nevertheless, the girl is dripping in couture, is also having dinner parties hosted by Karl Lagerfeld and Chanel held especially for her, and guests include Anna Wintour... Now THAT'S something your average 20-year-old girl is NOT doing! *takes notes* I bow my head to you, Blake!

Christian Dior Fires John Galliano

The fashion designer John Galliano, right, arrived with his lawyer, Stephane Zerbib, at a police station in Paris on Monday to face accusations that he made illegal anti-Semitic slurs.

The French fashion house Christian Dior said Tuesday that it had started procedures to dismiss its chief designer since 1997, John Galliano, following accusations that Mr. Galliano made anti-Semitic outbursts at a Paris bar. Unfortunately for Galliano, these remarks were caught on video and the footage is disturbing.

The video, posted on the website of the British tabloid The Sun, appears to show Mr. Galliano taunting other patrons at the bar, La Perle, declaring in a slurred voice that “I love Hitler” and that “people like you would be dead,” and “your mothers, your forefathers” would all be “gassed.” It was unclear when the video was recorded.

Late Monday, the actress Natalie Portman, who recently signed an endorsement deal with Dior for its Miss Dior Chérie perfume, strongly condemned Mr. Galliano. In a statement, she said: “I am deeply shocked and disgusted by the video of John Galliano’s comments that surfaced today. In light of this video, and as an individual who is proud to be Jewish, I will not be associated with Mr. Galliano in any way.”

Mr. Galliano was suspended Friday by Dior. The fashion house, which is owned by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, cited its “unequivocal zero-tolerance policy regarding anti-Semitism and racism,” after the initial incident was reported.

Here’s the full press statement from Dior regarding its dismissal of John Galliano, who was arrested last Thursday in Paris after allegedly accosting a couple with racist comments:

Paris–March 1, 2011. Following the allegations of anti-Semitic statements that resulted in John Galliano being questioned by police on Thursday, February 24, Christian Dior immediately suspended its relationship with its designer, pending the outcome of the police investigation.

Today, in light of the deeply offensive statements and conduct by John Galliano in a video made public yesterday, Christian Dior has commenced termination procedures against him.

Sidney Toledano, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Christian Dior Couture, said: “We unequivocally condemn the statements made by John Galliano which are in total contradiction to the longstanding core values of Christian Dior.”

The Dior statement did not mention the effect that the dismissal would have on its upcoming fashion show. The fashion house is scheduled to present its fall-winter 2011-2012 ready-to-wear collection on Friday as part of Paris fashion week.

Lady Gaga Debuts 'Born This Way' Video

Lady Gaga debuted the video for 'Born This Way' earlier today, and it is every bit as creative and visually arresting as anything she or any musical artist has ever done. This girl is a true artist. A genius, if you ask me.

The video, directed by fashion photographer Nick Knight in collaboration with the Haus of Gaga creative team and choreographer Laurieann Gibson, continues the rebirth theme the enigmatic pop star has been pushing since emerging from an egg-like vessel to perform the track at this year's Grammys.

"It's the story about the birth of a new race," the pop star told DJ Greg James. "A race that bears no prejudice and a race thats primary sort of ambition in life is to inspire unity and togetherness."

I can get with that!

'Born This Way' debuted on February 11, and after just three days of release the track shattered iTunes sales records, selling over one million downloads in under a week. Despite its success, the song has not been without controversy. Reviews for the single have been mostly positive, but both critics and fans -- even Madonna's brother -- have noted that 'Born This Way' bears a strong resemblance to Madonna's 1989 empowerment anthem 'Express Yourself.'

Gaga feels otherwise. She says the video was inspired by her "little monsters," as they inspire everything in her colorful career. She also mentioned that she drew inspiration from other creative greats -- "It's very inspired by, especially in the beginning, Salvador Dalí and Francis Bacon, the surrealist painters," she said. "The song is very meaningful to me, so I wanted to make something that would really show what was going on in my head when I wrote 'Born This Way.' "

Natalie Portman Condemns John Galliano

It's the question everyone wanted to ask last night after Natalie Portman took home the Best Actress Oscar for her performance in Black Swan. What are her thoughts about John Galliano's (long-time creative director for Dior) disgraceful anti-Semitic remarks at a Paris bar?

Well, Portman, who just so happens to be the face of the Miss Dior Cherie fragrance and is Jewish, born in Israel, finally released a statement:

"I am deeply shocked and disgusted by the video of John Galliano's comments that surfaced today. In light of this video, and as an individual who is proud to be Jewish, I will not be associated with Mr. Galliano in any way. I hope at the very least, these terrible comments remind us to reflect and act upon combating these still-existing prejudices that are the opposite of all that is beautiful."

Rachel Zoe Weighs in on Anne's Oscar Looks

It's no secret that Anne Hathaway's whopping eight costume changes at last night's Academy Awards were the work of styling mastermind Rachel Zoe. As I mentioned before, I was head over heels in love with each and every look, particularly Anne's sapphire Armani Privé gown. Zoe really outdid herself last night -- she truly knocked this one out of the ballpark!

Zoe, who is currently nine months pregnant, chatted with Entertainment Weekly about the dresses, working with Anne's busy schedule -- a longtime client and her muse, and what to expect on the next season of The Rachel Zoe Project. *Sooo dying for that to start!*

What was the experience like? Dressing Anne Hathaway as co-host is pretty major!
It was a big night for me, but you can only imagine what it was like for Annie. It was pretty incredible. We’ve been working on it since they announced it. I found out when everybody else did. It was one of things, like, normally we need to have this many fittings to get to one dress, and now we have the opportunity to use, in total, eight dresses. It was the ultimate fantasy for both of us. We got to play dress-up. Annie’s certainly one of my muses. It was really, really fun. Legitimately, the day could not have gone better. She was in the best mood, all smiles. It was an incredible energy backstage. Everyone was taking it seriously, but still having fun and embracing the moment.

So there were no mishaps? No missing double-sided tape?
It’s weird, because I was expecting it. I hate to be boring, but there were no catastrophes! Annie was so gracious, thanked everyone 10,000 times. She was incredible. Everyone was back there that was close to her. We have such a good time together. It’s just a comfort level.

What was your first reaction when you got the news that Anne would be co-hosting?
My reaction was, “Of course I’m pregnant. Why wouldn’t I be pregnant during this time?” It was exciting because this was the ultimate project and who better to do it with? Annie is so professional and had so much fun with it. She’s as talented as she is beautiful. We’ve had so many great moments on the red carpet together, so it’s like, how do we top this moment and how do we top that moment? You have to know who your audience is when you’re doing something like the Oscars. But it’s hard to please everyone all the time. What we tried to do was be super diverse in the choices — from the Vivienne Westwood, which was a corseted ball gown, to a super futuristic modern Armani and the Givenchy couture, which was a little more traditional and medieval. We jumped across the board. The Oscar de la Renta was the perfect fringe, party, sexy dress. The Tom Ford – I can’t even talk about. It leaves me speechless.

Were you backstage with her?
I was in the beginning, and then my team stayed on. I came back. Annie was like, “You’re nine months pregnant. You need to go.”

How was it different than pulling looks for the red carpet?
For the red carpet at the Oscars, you just pull out all the stops and just want that beautiful Hollywood moment. Annie is a true movie star in every sense of the word without actually trying. She just is. She’s beyond talented and wears clothes so beautifully. She loves fashion. It’s not so calculated, like, “Oh, let’s do this for this.” We just had all these incredible dresses and all these designers made these incredible things for her. The idea is that once you get this incredible group of dresses, you edit it down based on rehearsals where it’ll fit in the lineup. We squeezed as many changes as we could. There were moments during the show when I was like, “I feel like we could’ve changed one more time!” But there’s a lot going on back there.

A lot of her outfits were custom-made. Were designers clamoring to dress Anne?
Almost all of it was [custom]. We were pretty specific about what we wanted, and there were a few that didn’t make it, but most of them were custom for her. Probably 70 percent. It was pretty amazing.

How was your plan of action different since she was co-hosting?
This was very, very in-depth. My team, including my associate, Jill Lincoln, she was literally there day in, day out. It was the Oscars! There’s no margin for error. The difference is normally when you’re doing red carpet, you do fittings in a studio, and we sort it out from there. And then she does the carpet and then she sits in the seat and goes to the after-party. This time, she’s working that stage, she’s moving around, she’s singing, she’s dancing. The clothes weren’t only custom and couture, but they actually had to be functional. She had to be able to move. Brian Atwood made her these incredible custom shoes she wore with her Lanvin tuxedo. As beautiful as they are, we had to make sure she could dance in them, move in them. Thankfully, she could. But there’s fashion and there’s, okay, I don’t want her to fall. You have to be strategic, and we really had to run through the show several times and go through the order. Make sure she doesn’t have two red dresses in the show and she has one white, then one blue, then black, then one red, because you don’t want to be redundant. You also wanted to make sure it was appropriate. We did Tom Ford for the finale because it was long sleeve, and she was singing with children. You just want to be appropriate. You think about how you want to start off the show and how you want to end. You want to be planned but not too calculated — and super glamorous!

So was she dancing around during fittings?
Oh for sure. Annie’s always dancing and singing. She’s got so much energy and she gets it. She has to be able to move, dance and sing, otherwise it’s not going to happen.

There was a lot of red on the carpet, and Anne wore a red Valentino and then a burgundy Versace on stage.
Both Annie and I have an incredible history with Mr. Valentino, and his retirement is very sad to the red carpet of the world. It was an incredible honor for Annie to be able to wear a dress from his archives because it’s not something we’ve seen in a long time since his retirement. We knew for the red carpet it would be one of Mr. Valentino’s looks and then for the Vanity Fair party, it was kind of a wild card. But the Versace dress was this incredible Atelier dress from the new couture collection that we were obsessed with. It had just come in on Thursday night. We were so in love, and it made it into the show but had a very quick airtime, so we said, “Let’s get some more mileage of it. Let’s give it another moment.” She loved it and felt so comfortable in it, so she said, “Let’s do it for Vanity Fair because there are always such incredible photos.” And Annie strikes a pose like nobody’s business.

How much input did Anne give?
We have such an incredible rapport at this point. We just kind of know. We really respect each other. She definitely has an opinion. She knows what feels right and what doesn’t. She’s very honest. Sometimes something will be amazing and she’ll say, “It doesn’t feel right. I can’t move,” and we’ll move on. Or if I feel like something doesn’t make sense, I’ll completely say so.

Were you aiming for more costume changes than you had?
At the end of the day, you have to be reasonable with how many changes you can actually do. Believe me, we would’ve gone for 10, but there’s only so much time.

Was there anything that you tried that didn’t work?
Not really. But on the red carpet, I wanted her to wear a higher heel, but we couldn’t because the dress length was short.

Did you have a favorite among her seven onstage outfits?
It’s definitely hard [to choose]. The finale look, the Tom Ford, was pretty extraordinary. It was so unique and special. It was this Marlene Dietrich modern-day moment. Tom Ford is brilliant. Overall, it was the perfect mix of designers. We had Givenchy, Armani, Tom Ford, Vivienne Westwood, Oscar de la Renta. We literally went international — Brits, Italians, Americans. We tried our best to spread it out.

Do you remember how many fittings you had?
I don’t even know. She’s also in another movie; she’s training for [her role as Cat Woman in The Dark Knight Rises]. We had to go all over the place for some of the fittings. Jill Lincoln and Jordan, they really were on top of it. It’s been a really long process but really, really fun. Like I said, it’s the fantasy fashion project, and it’s not even pretend, and it’s with Anne. What could be better?

So is Jill the replacement for Brad?
I don’t really like to say that. I’m not trying to replace anybody. We always have new people on the team. She’s been with us since September.

Did you dress anyone else for the show?
Just for parties. I dressed Liv Tyler, Cameron [Diaz] and Eva Mendes. The girls were so relaxed this year. Everyone just wanted to put on cute party dresses and have fun. It wasn’t as serious as it usually is. Like Cameron wanted something short, flirty, and fun.

There is a report that you charged “astronomical” fees for your styling. Can you comment or clarify?
It’s just classic ridiculousness. I have no idea who would ever know that and why they would say that. It just seems so silly. It’s nobody else’s business. Nobody else talks about what they make and what they do. Someone clearly wanted to have fun with something as usual.

It was reportedly someone from the Academy. Who actually picks up the tab?
I can’t imagine that’s true. It sounded [like] someone’s making up something not factual. I have no idea. I don’t really get involved in that stuff. That’s agent stuff.

Will we see any of the Oscar moments on the new season of The Rachel Zoe Project?
Little bits and pieces for sure. We are still filming.

Now that the Oscars are over, you can take a breather, right?
I wish! I have a shoot tomorrow. So not yet!

The Many Looks of Anne Hathaway — 2011 Oscars

Okay, so we all know that Anne Hathaway is one my favorite starlets. That's no secret. So when I first found out that she would be hosting this year's Oscars I was so excited, and then I immediately began to think of what she was going to wear, in true Rachel Zoe style.

Anne unveiled one stunning look after another in a succession of costume changes, each one more impressive than the one before (I did have a favorite). I anticipated her looks like an addictive lotto player, and squealed every time there was an outfit change; as if one of the numbers on my lotto ticket matched a played number.

Anne started her fashion journey on a very high note when she waltzed down the red carpet in Valentino with Valentino in tow, but the show was just getting started! The second look (shown above) was a white bustier Givenchy Haute Couture gown that screamed old Hollywood glamour. A Tiffany Archives bracelet and Brian Atwood peep-toes finished off the look.

Menswear done right, no? Anne's third look was a custom-made Lanvin tux, which was perfectly tailored; and best of all, custom-made Brian Atwood pumps, which were decked out in Swarovski crystals! Modern day Cinderella! I loooove this look! Who knew a woman in a tux could look so chic!

The fourth look of the night was a custom-made Vivienne Westwood Couture gown with a corseted bodice and embroidered lace and sequins. Anne accessorized the couture gown with Jimmy Choo platforms and Tiffany Archive jewels.

Hello, 70s glam! Anne won my heart when she walked out in a silver beaded tassel dress by the love of my life, Oscar de la Renta. She shimmied in this gown (literally) whilst wearing Jimmy Choos and Tiffany jewels.

After walking the red carpet in a red hue made famous by Valentino, Hathaway took to the stage in a slightly different version of red -- one of my favorite shades, burgundy.

Anne looked stunning wearing a burgundy silk chiffon Atelier Versace gown with Tiffany Archive jewels and Casadei pumps. Can you feel how excited and proud I was at this point?

And then she sent me packing!

Anne wore Armani Privé to the Oscars in 2009 when she was nominated for an award; I instantly knew that a long relationship was ignited that year/night (it's one of my favorites, if not my favorite Oscar look of all time). So I just knew she would be wearing an Armani Privé masterpiece tonight, and that she did!

I seriously nearly lost it when I saw Anne in this custom-made Armani Privé sapphire gown. How ridiculously stunning is this dress? I want it, I need it, in true Rachel Zoe form, I die! I love e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g about this look! The dress, the hair. Everything!

She finished the look with Armani Privé heels and Tiffany Archive jewels.

Hands down, my favorite look of the night.

The final and eighth look of the night was a lace and crystal Tom Ford gown. Tom Ford, who recently launched his eponymous womenswear line, directed last year's Oscar nominated film A Single Man.

Anne paired this gown with Tom Ford heels and Tiffany Archive jewels.

I was really happy to see one of his creations tonight, because frankly, Tom Ford is a genius!

So the final tally of Anne Hathaway's Oscars costume changes include: Valentino, Givenchy, Lanvin, Vivienne Westwood, Oscar de la Renta, Atelier Versace, Armani Privé and Tom Ford.

Ugh, can you imagine wearing hundreds of thousands of dollars in couture in a span of a few hours? And going through a half-dozen hair changes? And dripping in diamonds from Tiffany's archives? And in towering Brian Atwood, Jimmy Choo, Tom Ford, Casadei and Armani Privé heels? And singing? Now you know why this girl is my hero! :P

Needless to say, I was more than impressed tonight. The girl really worked her ass off!

The ceremony itself was a little boring, although I thought she did really well given that James Franco seemed like he had one too many puffs and was out of it; but the Oscars is a relatively boring show, and the real story, as always, is the fashion!

MAYYY-JOR shout out to Rachel Zoe who went to work tonight; this night was a highlight of her career and in styling Anne's looks, she knocked this one out of the ballpark! And to think she did it all with a bun in the oven!

Yes, Halle, Hailee and Cate were among my favorites with their Marchesa and Givenchy gowns; but Anne gave me so much life tonight in her wardrobe changes, which started off with this stunning red Valentino gown from the fall 2002 couture collection.

Oh, and her date? Mr. Valentino, himself. Talk about living a fairytale! She was literally twirling on the red carpet! My fairytale would be walking down a red carpet with Oscar de la Renta. Fairytales come true, right??

Natalie took home the Oscar for Best Actress for her performance in Black Swan, which I have still yet to see! I definitely need to find time this week to make it to the movies to see this film. I've heard nothing but stellar reviews of her performance.

Oh, and speaking of Natalie -- who is the face of Dior -- she totally dodged a bullet tonight in the press room from a reporter who wanted to know her opinion about the Dior/Galliano debacle (Dior suspended Galliano for an alleged anti-Semitic rant in Paris). When I say dodged, I mean that press person shut that question down to the ground! I have to admit, it would be interesting to hear what she thinks (she started to answer). Natalie is a highly intellectual person -- which is one of the reasons I greatly admire her -- and is also Jewish, from Israel. Aside from all of that, she shined tonight!

I just don't know how I feel about this Dior Couture dress from the 2009 collection...

It's really hard for me to see someone I deeply admire and respect totally miss it on the red carpet. Especially when they're nominated for an award in the biggest category -- Best Actress. I don't love this dress, nor do I hate it. I think I like it. That's all. It's such a pity that this dress is Christian Dior.

This dress translates so much better on the runway. If it wasn't for the look on the runway, I probably would have loathed this look, but seeing it as it should have been makes me see its real beauty.

You guys don't know this because I've been MIA (missing-in-action), but I have been LOVE LOVE LOVE-ing little miss Hailee Steinfeld from True Grit! What an adorable little girl, and dare I say it -- fierce! Or, better yet, fly! We like that word here!

The 14-year-old rising starlet blew me away on the screen -- she was nominated for an Oscar in the Best Supporting Actress category -- and has equally blown me away on the red carpet with her looks. I am so excited to see what she wears tomorrow! She will not disappoint. I repeat -- she will NOT disappoint. I also hope she wins. She was nothing short of incredible in True Grit -- which, by the way, was her very first film!

Well, well, well... It's been about three months since I last posted a story here on poor & fly, and let me just tell you that I feel so so sooo guilty for taking a vacation, but so unbelievably refreshed! As many of you may or may not know, I'm back in school (as of last September) pursuing a Master's at Georgetown University -- this is what partially drove me away from all things poor & fly because I was so so sooo busy with schoolwork! But I'm back and in a MAJOR *Victoria Beckham voice* way! Um, the Oscars are manana!!!!! Who is beyond excited?? *shamlessly raises both hands* Um, my girl Anne Hathaway is hosting and I just know Zoe, Inc. is going to have her tearing that stage up! So pumped for tomorrow's show!

I feel like I've missed out on so many great stories, but we are so fresh into the new year that I refuse to allow what's old to occupy my mind! I've missed you all so much and I can't wait for you guys to start flying with me again! Thank you for your loyalty and for pushing me to start posting again! I sure did miss this!

With the cold slowly creeping up on us (or maybe you're lucky and live in warm weather all-year round), I have found myself digging through my hat box — yes, I have one of those — to pull out some of my favorite toppers! Of course one of my favorite spots for hats is Forever 21, duh! With prices barely topping $15, I have found myself with more hats than one should own! Below are some of my favorites that you can pick up now:


Faux Fur Trapper Hat, Forever 21, $9.80.

Trappers can be so chic! Actually, not really! But when it's 25 degrees outside, I think being chic is the last thing someone would think about. Actually, I would think about that, but I'm not normal.

Knitted Headband, Forever 21, $6.80.

Now this is something I've never seen before! A knitted headband with a bow! LOVE! I can totally see myself rocking this to go ice-skating downtown! And seriously, $6.80 is what I spend nearly every morning at Starbucks!

Some people hate turbans. I looove them! There is something so daring about rocking one, and I absolutely love wearing things no one else would dare to touch! This would look ahmazing with a classic navy coat!

A Preview: Four Lanvin for H&M Outfits in a New Ad

An ad for the highly anticipated Lanvin for H&M collection is out. *Pause...* Is Alber really giving us, in what I feel is, the iconic one-shoulder dress??! Whoa. Whoa. And. Whoa. People, this is MAJOR! As if we didn't already know. These looks date back to runway looks from the fall 2008, 2009 pre-fall, and spring 2009 collections. I'll say it again, WHOA.

The ad was released ahead of the short film that will debut online November 2nd, showcasing the collection in its entirety (H&M and Lanvin are set to make the world wide web crash on November 2nd, I'm calling it now!). David Sims shot the campaign, which stars, from left to right, Hannelore Knuts, Jane Schmitt, Tati Collitar, and my girl Natasha Poly. I love Jane Schmitt's appearance in this ad; you'll notice she is significantly older than her fellow models. This is clearly a collection for women young and old who love Lanvin. After all, Lanvin is a label for women.

Pre-fall 2009 (left two), spring 2009, fall 2008.

Don't forget, the collection debuts in stores in the US and Canada on November 20th, and the rest of the world on November 23rd! I have that date etched in my forehead! Lord, my bank account is going to take quite the hit that day... The things we do for fashion. Or should I say the things we do for Lanvin...

Halle rocked the most amazing sequin mini I've ever laid my brown eyes on to Spike TV's 2010 Scream Awards. Then again, it's Halle... What doesn't look 100 x's more amazing on her? A white v-neck looks like couture on her. Okay, I'm exaggerating :P

The Oscar-winner paired the Reem Acra sequined mini-dress with snakeskin Christian Louboutin peep-toe pumps and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. *Fans myself... I didn't know I could feel so strongly about a woman! LOL!*

Ugh, she makes me feel angry about life! LOL She is FLAWLESS, and she never needs to grow her hair out again. I'm mad that we didn't get this look in September's Vogue. Dear Vogue and Anna Wintour, you totally lost cool point for that one!

The British beauty serves as both muse and spokesmodel for the highly-coveted, drool-fest and heart attack-inducing label, so it's no surprise that she showed up and out in Chanel! And believe me when I tell you that this number was just as intricate and breathtaking in the back as in the front. Check it:

If my last two posts about the Lanvin for H&M collaboration weren't enough indication to how unbelievably excited I am about Alber Elbaz' decision to show us poor folks some love, well then, you haven't been reading! ;) But that's okay, I understand! Then again, I don't because you can read poor & fly on the go from any mobile device! There truly is no excuse ;)

H&M released 3 new short films featuring Elbaz discussing the inspiration behind the collection and his decision to go mass-market.

"Daughter's want to wear their grandmother's clothes." — Alber Elbaz *This is true, Alber.

"A collection for happy people." — Alber Elbaz *Trust me, news of this collection alone makes me happy! And I know I'm not speaking for myself!

You know what I already love about this collaboration, Alber Elbaz shows genuine interest in allowing a new world of people access to his design, and suggests his openess to design for these people, myself included, with such humility. I'm impressed. && I'm sure to be impressed with the collection, and SURE to be b-r-o-k-e after I collect the entire collection. I mean, it is art.

Mark your calendars, people! The collection is slated to go on sale in the US and Canada on November 20 and the rest of the world on November 23. This date needs to be etched in everyone's brain! I mean, November 20th is my mother's birthday, and November 23rd is my sister's birthday, so those dates are already kind of etched in my brain; but ummmm, just like birthday's, this collab only happens once in a lifetime! My mother and sister will understand. Especially when a piece from the collection will be wrapped up in a box disguised as a gift, but really just meant for me to steal after they throw it in their closet. Quite the master plan, if I may say so myself! :P

Christian Siriano for Payless

Christian Siriano's Spring 2011 collection was breathtaking. He constantly invents instead of re-invents, which seems customary to many designers in the game. Siriano is such a breath of fresh air in the industry, and definitely breathes new life into the couture world. Literally.

Last year, The Project Runway winner/alum collaborated with Payless to bring his high-fashion designs to those with low funds, also known as poor & fly folks. We sure did love him for that! His shoe designs took the runway last year with his collection, and he followed suit with his latest collection; only this time, the shoes are out of this world insane!

The Payless collection "meld cultural influences from Africa, India and China together into a single design aesthetic," said Siriano.

There are four styles in an array of colors and prints with each style being inspired by international cities in each region. Coordinating handbags will also be featured in the collection due out February 2011. Hello, Valentine's Day. Very smart, Christian. Another excuse to buy myself something! ;)

Most people are wondering if the shoes will be the same as the runway versions, but don't you fret, Christian Siriano's reps reported that shoes from the actual Payless collection due soon will look strikingly similar to those that hit the runway at Lincoln Center. Let us rejoice... (:

More images of the Mulberry for Target collection have been released in Teen Vogue's October 2010 issue. FINALLY! Are you loving what you see, because I'm loving what I see! I'm hoping there is a wallet in this collection, because I'm in dire need of a new wallet and cannot wrap my brain around buying a new one; specifically the one I have my eye on, which — by the way — is Chanel. Um, Chanel = a brand I cannot afford! Granted, I have two pieces, but those were both purchased in my "former life" (as my bff puts it) aka when I had zero bills! Oh, how times have changed! :*(

Remember those Isabel Marant cowgirl-esque boots from the spring 2010 RTW collection? They were pretty badass, and they cost a pretty penny, too. Well, Bebe did what Bebe does best with any and all runway creations — they chopped and screwed the design, and the price. You can pick up an Isabel Marant inspired boot for $228 at Bebe! A fraction of the price for the original version. I ain't mad at 'ya!

While I prefer the original boot, the slouchiness is e v e r y t h i n g , I'm not hating Bebe's version. However, I am mad that Bebe opted to go with rather safe colors, black and taupe. The original boot came in a slew of colors and I would have loved to see Bebe produce this boot in gray, like the one shown above; but, I understand — this is business, and it's a l l about numbers.
