Gareth Pugh Will Not Succeed McQueen

The late designer Alexander McQueen will not be replaced by Gareth Pugh. Members of the fashion community speculated that Pugh would assume McQueen's helm at Gucci, but a statement issued by Pugh's press rep. said, "Further to speculative reports earlier this week, Gareth Pugh is not in discussions with Gucci Group about a Creative Director role at Alexander McQueen." McQueen's last collection is set to be shown this week in Paris. (via)
